Why we love it

The repetitive movements of our facial muscles create lines and wrinkles that become deeper and more prominent as we age. Treatments with neuromodulators, such as Botox and Dysport, weaken the muscles that create these lines resulting in a smoother appearance of the skin. Common treatment areas include forehead creases, frown lines and crow's feet. Dosage requirements depend on your age, muscle activity, and desired outcome. Both men and women are candidates for Botox treatments and results with our skilled injectors are always natural looking!

Treatment Plan

  • The treatment involves injecting small doses of Botox or Dysport right below the skin with very small needles. (don't worry the needles are tiny!)
  • Appointments take approximately 20 minutes.
  • Immediately after your treatment, there may be small areas of redness at injection sites, which usually resolve within 15-20 minutes.
  • After treatment, you can immediately return to work and all other social activities. However, avoid working out and any strenuous activities for 24 hours.
  • Results will start taking affect within 3–5 days and fully onset around 2 weeks.

Pre-Treatment Guidelines
What to avoid prior to your visit
  1. Avoid Blood Thinners: For at least 24-48 hours before the treatment, avoid blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, aleve, and vitamin E, as they can increase bruising and swelling.
  2. Limit Alcohol: Avoid consuming alcohol for at least 24 hours before the procedure to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
  3. Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water before the treatment to keep your skin well-hydrated.
  4. Avoid Certain Supplements: Avoid herbal supplements, such as fish oil and St. John’s Wort, as they can increase bleeding.
  5. Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your skin from excessive sun exposure or tanning beds for a few days leading up to your treatment to avoid inflammation.
  6. Follow Skin Care Routines: If you're using any retinoids or exfoliating treatments, you may need to pause these a few days before your Botox appointment.
Post-Treatment Guidelines
Recommendations after visit
  1. Stay Upright: For at least 4 hours after treatment, keep your head upright and avoid lying down to prevent the Botox from migrating to unintended areas.
  2. Avoid Pressure: Do not massage or apply pressure to the treated areas for at least 24 hours to prevent the Botox from spreading.
  3. Limit Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous exercise and activities that cause excessive sweating for 24 hours post-treatment.
  4. Avoid Heat Exposure: Stay away from heat sources such as saunas, steam rooms, and hot tubs for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of swelling and bruising.
  5. Cold Compress: If you experience swelling or bruising, applying a cold compress can help alleviate discomfort.
  6. Avoid Other Treatments: Refrain from undergoing facials, chemical peels, or other treatments for at least a week following Botox to avoid irritation.
Maintenance

Dysport + Botox effects typically last between 3 to 6 months. To maintain the desired look, follow-up treatments are usually scheduled every 3 to 6 months, depending on individual needs and responses.
